Dumble Firearms
Does anyone here own one of Dumble's firearms? Anyone here ever shot one? Does he still make them? And last but not least what guages did he make?

A guy I know, who bought 2 Dumbles, direct from the man himself, told me that he made/makes dueling pistols.

Not great news for cloners if he is a good shot. Skip
Re: Dumble Firearms
So are you talking about colt .45 repros with hairline triggers, sloped back tail on the hammer, with nice hardwood grips? If so I really need to get in touch with Dr. D to bore a barrel a little bigger to .50 for real man-gun. I've tried the S&W .50s and I like them a lot but you can't really get those rounds out fast enough
I wonder what the build and deliver time is for his fairearms?

2 Years.. You gotta go to a target range with him to prove you can shoot first..dr. who wrote:So are you talking about colt .45 repros with hairline triggers, sloped back tail on the hammer, with nice hardwood grips? I wonder if the man reads any of this stuff.
They were calling him reclusive and eccentric in the 80's I wonder if he even surfs the net?
I would think he does since he seems to enjoy technology.
Alexander if you are reading this, howdy!

There is currently pending legislation in New Mexico to approve wearing concealed weapons (to licensees) in bars and restaurants. Interesting. They only banned drive-up liquor stores a few years ago.
Re: Dumble Firearms
IMHO; as far as road rage is concerned, lil will intent and a 3000lb missile is just as deadly weapon as any.Zippy wrote:What did he have to say about road rage?ToneMerc wrote:Col. I believe Col. Cooper would have said again that, "an armed society is a polite society" and something along the lines of another of his quotes below.
"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."
The link below is a local case from 2 months ago. Two middle aged men in the company of wives/girlfriends made a fateful decision to follow and accost an armed person.

From the perspective of a firearms/tactics instructor and 20+ yrs carry person, I would entertain some discussion concerning CC in another thread if you wish.
I'm curious, are people still driving drunk in NM?

I'm a huge Jeff Cooper fan! He's a great writer and I will readily admit that I didn't really know how to shoot until after I read a couple of his books. Shot a perfect score on my CC test with what I learned from him.

Oh yeah, now they send their kids into the store if they are too drunk to walk in by themselves.ToneMerc wrote:I'm curious, are people still driving drunk in NM?

There was a news report just last week about someone getting caught having their young child (8 or so) blow into the breathalyzer interlock of their car so they could drive home.
Then there was the attorney (with a high ranking police officer as passenger) driving home from some serious drinking. He hit another drunk that was stepping off the curb in front of the club and killed him. Drove away and later said that he didn't know that he had hit anyone - the windshield of his BMW was cratered.
Not uncommon to hear of drunks on the highway crossing several yards of rough median to plow into oncoming traffic.
And now that we have rail service between Albuquerque and Santa Fe, we are starting to see delays in rail service due to clearing the tracks of people that think they can cross the tracks ahead of a speeding train.
This state has serious drunk driving issues.

I'm sure that I would make Bloomberg and Pelosi cringe though!
Re: Dumble Firearms
could it be any other way?"an armed society is a polite society"
If the criminals had more fear of good citizens than the citizens have of the criminals, that would be a real deterrant, rather than an implied one.
Is it any wonder criminals dont follow the law regarding CC, but the rest of us do? Its a situation of creating sitting ducks and easy targets, driven by fear.
