Thanks, Dogears!

Post by Normster »

Reflecting back on the last decade, I want to acknowledge Scott Lerner as the single most influential person on my musical journey.

Many years ago on guitar.com, Scott befriended me and introduced me to Dumble (Fuchs) tone. He was, and still is, a monster jazz guitarist. I had just started playing guitar again after a 10 year hiatus and had no idea what sound I was going for. He reached out to me and encouraged me to try a Fuchs. I never did make the leap to a Fuchs (sorry Andy), but I did start to experiment with Dumble circuits.

Every step of the way, Scott was there to teach, encourage, and guide me. As a result, I finally started to understand some of the magic. More importantly, I became part of a larger community and got to know folks who shared my passion and shored up the holes in my understanding of these unique amp circuits.

I'm not going to get too mushy here, but I want to publicly thank Scott for sharing his knowledge, wisdom, music, and friendship with me.

Happy New Year, my friend! :D

Hell of a guy, fine player and shares tons of information. I've yet to achieve his level of Dumble tone but I'm a lot closer because of his advise. 8)

Yes Scott has helped me quite a bit with values and voltages.

I'd also like to give a shout out to Tony from VVT amps, he has always answered any question I have asked him via PM.

Several others have helped with their posts that might be asked by me or others.

A great forum and a great source of tube amp theory.

THANKS GUYS!
Tom
