Fender Convenience Jack

Post by C Moore »

I did a search and came up with one thread from 2006. Talking about replacing the old 2 wire outlet with a 3 wire. Mojo has them for $25.00. I could not find one at Mouser or my local Ace Hardware store. Are any of you guys doing something ingenious with these things, or have they become a dinosaur, a thing of the past?
Am working on a 1969 Twin. The original jack cracked to pieces.
Thank You

I would try calling Steve at ApexJr.com. He doesn't list one but he often has a lot of stuff that's not listed on the site.

I still use them. I bought the unit Mojo sells and converted my '66 Bassman and my project chassis (formerly a Pro Reverb) to the three-prong outlet. Since I stack up most of my amps in one corner of my dining room, it's useful for me to be able to daisy-chain the electron supply. I never play through more than one amp at a time anyway, so ground loops aren't a problem.

Keep the outlet (and upgrade to three-prong if necessary). You never know when the day will come when it will suddenly be handy and you'll be patting yourself on the back for keeping it instead of converting that hole to something else.

Allied http://www.alliedelec.com/ has 'em. Stock number is 719-0051. They don't fit like the original because of the wavy washer.

Anyone have another source for these? Mojo no longer has them and Allied is "out of stock"....

I have just moved and have not found the ones I have yet.

If you don't have a space problem I have a thicker 1 that will work
that is 20A at 115V .

Steve @ Apex Jr

And Thanks Benoit for suggesting me... I apreciate it....
