Anthem Health Care Company - Data Breach
Apparently a very large number of people are or will be affected. They (Anthem http://www.anthemfacts.com/) are saying no medical information was lost, but the hackers got SS #'s, home addresses, and salary information. WOW! REALLY! I couldn't care less if some hacker knows my medical information. However, I really care that they can attempt to steal my ID and attempt to steal from any financial accounts.

I went to Experian and purchased a "Security Freeze" for $10; supposedly it will prevent anyone from using the SS# for credit application, etc.LeftyStrat wrote:Sucks, they are my provider.
Anthem indicates that they will eventually be notifying anyone whose information is compromised and providing (paying for) fraud protection service.

I added the following line to all my credit reports
"Fraud victim. Do not extend credit without contacting me at xxx-xxx-xxxx"
