DIN jack
Hello all:
Would anyone be able to point me towards a new production part number for this type of DIN jack and its mate? I am working on a #102 build and would like to get the male and female DIN and footswitch connections close.
Thanks, in advance, for any leads

Hi Rafael,
Thank you for the reply and help. That Kobiconn part is what I am currently using as well. I was looking for the raised, female version which is used on 102 and its matching male connector. I think the male connector on the footswitch lead may be locking?

Re: DIN jack
Didn't #102 use the switchcraft XLR? That's what is on mine and what the chassis was made for.
Any 5 pin DIN will work . They're a nice tight fit so you don't actually need locking if you don't want to.

Re: DIN jack
I used the switchcraft 61HA5FX for female and the switchcraft 12CL5MX for male
Re: DIN jack
Ah Marcus, right again. I'm way out over my skiis. I should have looked at the back of the amp! I should have also clarified that I am using Taylor's ODS chassis which is cut for the Kobiconn recessed female connector that Rafael posted. I thought I might upgrade to a more historically correct jack, but it seems that should be XLR, not DIN at all.

Re: DIN jack
If you're using Taylor's chassis then just get your self a 5 pin Din . It's up to you there's all kinds to choose from and I think they all fit the hole.
If you use a 'midi' socket then I think a regular midi cable will work. That means you can always get a cable from any music store if it breaks.
Or you can hard wire at the footswitch end and just have a male connector on the amp end.

p.s. the switchcraft XLR cost me about $50!!!! so I'd go with the DIN every time of possible....they're about $5 max

Re: DIN jack
I've already got the recessed 5-pin DIN in there now, so problem solved. I have matched/mated connectors for the footswitch lead and some Belden five conductor.
The amp doesn't have to be a dead-on clone, but was just looking to pay homage where I can and stay true to the original as is practical. I'm far more concerned about these things than the customer.

Re: DIN jack
Glad it's sorted Dave. I use 'Start Quad' cable for my footswitches. I use Van Damme as it's great cable but any will do, Belden, Mogami etc You have two pairs and the shield which is perfect for the 5 pins
It's also 'pro' cable so designed for life on the road and all that entails

Yes I used the same pair. Excellent connectors!
