Have any of you seen the Kasha combo amps with the tilting speaker?
I was checking their Magnatone clones and saw this.
Pretty cool idea for a small combo and the ability to tilt the speaker up towards your ears.
Not sure if it is a patented idea or not.

Re: Tilting Speaker Amp
Interesting but not all that desirable IMO. Increased weight reduced speaker cabinet volume, all to avoid tilting the whole amp to achieve the same result. Which is really not a problem. I use a Standback (http://www.standback.net) with my combos.

Re: Tilting Speaker Amp
John Kasha is always coming up with innovative stuff. His tilting speaker amp design is a few years old but is pretty neat to see in action. There is a remote foot switch that controls the angle of the baffle, so you can "tune" it as you play.
Re: Tilting Speaker Amp
If its just the baffle tilting you're going to get air leaking past it, or rattles.
If the tilting part is a separate sealed box you have a much smaller sealed volume than the size of the cabinet appears to be.
If its on a footswitch, then its got a motorized actuator.
Tiltback legs do the same thing cheaply and to my eye more eloquently.
I've also built amps with the baffle at fixed tilt.
