I had an opportunity to get one from Dumble (he was still Howard at that time) when I was a kid. While I liked the ODS, the SSS was what really got me going. I've regretted not taking advantage of my good fortune since.
Ampeg/Marshall transformers?
I'm pretty sure the one I auditioned had 6550's..
It also had an FET boost and a tone circuit bypass.
Where in the circuit are the hi and low filters?
I know Two Rock has the Sterling, which is nice, just thought it'd be fun to put one together myself....plus I wouldn't feel shy about modding/tweaking if it was just my work, and not something worth a bunch of money.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Any info/schems for the Steel String Singer?

The sound i hear is a 60`s preamp, hit that with a ampeg svt type output section, crank it and enjoy..my .02 worth, jpnix wrote:I had an opportunity to get one from Dumble (he was still Howard at that time) when I was a kid.
