Wreck clean to mean with bleed capacitor on guitar vol?

Post by JoeyE »

I was planning to do this to my guitar since it is a very easy mod but wonder how it affects the wreck clean to mean thing.

Im sure everyone here is familiar with it but ill just explain it just in case. Its a bleed capacitor mod on the guitar volume pot which suposed to retain hi freq loss or prevent mudiness when guitars volume is rolled back?

Hi!

Try it for yourself and your rig&playing style. I prefer 50s wiring w. low output humbuckers and no treble cap on volume pot for now.
But my guitars are kinda bright and so are my speakers.

There is a thread w. some valuable input from Glen Kuykendall and some others a while ago.

as usual: YMMV

Ciao& good luck finding your tone!
