Andy Fuchs is probably your best bet. He drops in a new board.

How long would it take w/a donor amp?

What techs do you know of who can "Dumbleize" a Tonemaster ?

IS this realistic?
I wouldnt bother, the tonemaster Iron isnt a great match
You are better off from scratch or a kit, sell the tonemaster to fund the project, that amp is a mess to work on

Have you actually tried the Tonemaster? I know some people who prefer that amp over all the others, and they've tried a lot of them.

Yup, I have been plaing through my tonemaster for a while

I love the clean side, but the gain side just doesn't sit right with me

so do you know what make/model transformers are generally used on D-style circuits that are @ 100W?

Okay, so I have not found it feasible to convert this to a D***** style amp. HOWEVER, I have 3 questions

1.Is it feasible to drop some better iron in there such as Blacface Twin PT & OT's ?

2.What about replacing with higher quality caps & resistors?

3.If so, are should it be all caps/resistors, or are there just key ones to change w/o having to overhaul all the parts

I think w/ the tranny replacements, and parts replacements, it won't be anywhere near the 3G's for a D* CLONE, & while the tone won't be the dumble, it would surely sound better

I really like the cleans out of this amp
