plans fir thiele 1 x 12 cab ?

Post by hebaton »

I followed someonde's suggestion and got myself a 1980's EVM12L series II speaker. It came in an open back cabinet. My first impressions were that it was very bright and harsh
Yet Iread great cooments about that speaker everywhere, I found that many are usung it in a closed back enclosure. Many refer to the Mesa boogie THiel 1 x 12 front loaded, front ported.

Looking for the plans to that cab

Thanks !

I had a woodworker friend build me a couple of these for my EVs. Super directional. May not be what you want.

I also find the EVs to be super articulate and a bit bright. Brightness is easy to address with you tone knobs but the articulate bit can show sloppy picking technique front and center. If your picking hand is well schooled it can be a great thing. Works great for Larry C. , me, not so much on a bad day or if my hand has had a few drinks.
