what exactly is the peace hill ods preamp?

I have a two rock traditional clean. I was wondering what it would take to build a ODS style preamp that would feed into the FX loop. I was considering making it a 1 or 2u rack. but I came across the peace hill preamps.

it has 2 tubes and a full layout like an ODS. how similar to a full ODS would this be to put it through a Traditional clean power amp.
