Does anybody know of a vendor that sells a package of resistors that someone would use most often in an amp?
If not what are the resistors I should stock up on? Like half watt 68ks for example.
Some help with resistors?

Those. And 1.5k half watts, can't have too many 1.5k half watts.drhulsey wrote:1 Mohm/ 1/2W, 100K/ 1/2W

In 1/2 watt, these are the most common values used in an amp
470, 820,1k,1.5k,2.2k,2.7k, 4.7k, 6.8k,8.2k,10k,15k,22k, 47k, 82k, 100k, 150k, 220k, 470k, 1meg. Radio shack has a bundle that has most of these values.

Thanks Folks. It sucks when you sort through a whole pile of resistors and are short one.

And for Soldano and high gain styles like newer Marshall's 1.8kohm,5.6kohm,39kohm,and 68kohm.
I use a LOT of 100kohm,I think in tube amps, this is the value more used .
Resistor are relatively inexpensive so I suggest to buy all the values most used in electronics : 100-220-470-680-820-1K-1,5K-1,8K-2,2K-2,7K-3,3K-4,7K-5,6K-6,8K-10K
15K-22K-33K-39K-47K-56K-68K-82K-100K-150K-220K-330K-470K-680K
1MOHM-2,2MOHM-4,7MOHM-10MOHM.
Stop....

Re: Some help with resistors?
680k and 330k are also used extensively in soldano circuits, as well as others.

NOS resistors
Since we are on the topic of resistors, I came across some Carbon Comp NOS resistors. Are they really any different than the new production carbon comps? besides price.
