Hey all, I was reading Aiken's web site about how seeing if your amp is class A. So I decided to try it on my liverpool clone. Yep it is!
Put in a 1kHz signal. Put a scope on the speaker output and the OT input. Put on a dummy load. Cranked her to just before clipping. Low and behold, the OT input was a full waveform.
So what gives? Is this cause I am running a higher resistance for cathode (100ohms instead of 50)? Or is it because I am running a high plate voltage? Perhaps both?
thanks
