12V to 220V Voltage Converter

Post by cgmason1986 »

I'm trying to build a simple pedal-form tube preamp and looking to power it with a 12V input. I found this on tube-town, but as I was checking out, I realized shipping for some reason is 70 euros to the US. Does anywhere else sell a small form-factor PCB like this?

Thank you!

This is very close in form factor to the TT unit, and uses the same circuit, I believe: https://www.ebay.com/itm/HV-Power-Suppl ... 2237036068

Thanks guys! I ended up ordering the one Martin linked. After ordering I found this from Frog Pedals - I think I'll get one of these as well since I can choose my own parts to populate the board:

The Frog board looks good... same well-worn boost converter circuit with a 6V regulator for filaments added. That would allow using a typical 9VDC pedal supply, or if you want more high voltage, a 12V supply. The one you ordered would work fine with a 12VDC supply and powering series-connected filaments directly.

I've built a couple of tube preamps using boosters found on ebay. 12VDC to 200VAC boost inverter type things. I've had varying degrees of success with them. I use the 12VDC input to run the heaters, as well as generate the HV.

I'll have to look into the nixie version now.
