Hi,
I just picked up a RCA 400 16mm projector that is driven by tubes! The mechanics are pretty rough for the projector portion so I think I would like to convert it to a guitar amp. I heard one on Youtube earlier that sounded terrific. http://www.ilovefuzz.com/viewtopic.php?f=149&t=29174
I am going to dissassemble it and take a look around. Any preliminary thoughts from the tube luminaries here would be appreciated!

Looks like it should be pretty cool! Anyone that does a google search for "RCA 400 16mm" will find a complete service manual. Schematic is on page 40. PT is absurdly huge.

Thanks Tony. I did find that one and it is for Model MI-1305. My unit is a MI-1311 which I cannot seem to find. I even asked Sam's Photofact to research it. I have pulled the amp and it needs work (new caps all around and I need to test resistors). It does put out a modest level of output and all the tubes light up. I think this could be pretty darn cool. There is not much room to work with underneath though.
Take care,
James
