Have you guys seen this thread on Gear Page:

I don't know how accurate it is but there are interesting comments. Reportedly, Larry is stating his amp is too loud and wants it mellowed?
The photos in the first post show two tubes have been pulled and that he is using JJ 5881's? I know there has been a lot of talk on TAG about 50w vs. 100w Dumblish amps, so I found the idea of two tubes being pulled fascinating.
A comment by another poster states Larry has a 50w/25w version for his studio?
With respect, 10thtx

Re: Larry Carlton's amps Gear Page thread
Thanks for posting 10thtx,
I saw Larry Carlton on the same day as the guy who posted the Gear Page thread and was surprised to see he was using just his amp and pedal board. I was expecting to see his FX running through his Wet/dry setup.
He sounded great but he did ask one of the stage crew to check the house voltage because he felt he had issues. His sound was more knarly than usual.
Cheers,
Paul.

Re: Larry Carlton's amps Gear Page thread
Interesting. It looks like he pulls two tubes but has the impedance switch at 8 ohms, so maybe he likes the mismatch. The output transformer has a little rust on the laminations, so it doesn't look like that was replaced. Also, not using the loop but has reverb on his board. I wonder if he uses the OD channel on the amp and if so, reverb through the front of the amp?
