Do you have a lamp limiter or auto-transformer to bring it up on the first time?
Mostly, I have my hands in old amps, and occationally new builds or new amps. They all come up on a limiter, though I have brought them up on my auto-transformer.

Wow! In great shape! A "Jim Hall" amp. I used to own one and should not have sold it. Congrats! Wanna sell it??

That looks like a nice amp!
Man, some locations just have better stuff.
