2204 JCM800 voltage chart

Post by Xander8280 »

I'd love a legible chart for both EL34 and 6550/KT88 setups.

Currently starting this build off on EL34's, I'm at the point of firing it up and testing without tubes.

As an amatuer; how much of a voltage change is there with tubes installed? Could someone give me charts of pins that can be tested before tubes are installed?

All help is appreciated!

If you go to the triode electronics site you can pull up the tube data for those tubes as used with different voltages and in different output stages.
Your amp has no more than about 450 volts of B+ so look for specs listed from 400 to 450 volts.
From these specs you can see how much PI drive voltage is needed, how much current the tubes should idle, what the max current is that should be seen and other specs.
Some of these listing will have voltages for a Ultra linear type output stages and you can go with those specs also as a ball park.
