RCH us made tubes?

Huh. At $200 a pop they're more expensive than NOS but I support this concept.

I'd only support the idea if the warranty were exceptional. $200 is far too much for a tube that shorts or goes microphonic etc after even a couple years least alone a few months as tubes often do. On the other hand i can't imagine how they could support such a warranty unless they know something about tube construction others don't seem to. At that price It's just not a viable business model due to the reliability idiosyncrasies of tubes IMO.

Certainly of high interest. I also support this effort and hope he will be able to bring down the cost as volume increases.

I am sure the price will come down once they get it together. However, they do seemed to be geared for the hi-fi market - the same folks who pay $500 for a knob or power cord so we shall see.

Imagine a new production 12AX7 that was actually decent… my mind races just thinking about it. And not doing business with China or Russia… now that would be great.

They have to get the prices down below NOS prices though - original new stock can be had for less even with todays drastically inflated prices.

Nevada is a great place to manufacture tubes - good business climate, good physical climate, and not too far from my home state :)

Maybe I can beta test some of those new 6L6's in one of my amps 8)

Audiophule pricing for sure. If these tubes are all that, I might give $200... For a quad.

RCH Labs? Co-founded with mom, Liz Hare? In Mound House Nev?

All the way from Dogpatch-on-Hudson, I smell a canard.

April 1 approaches, if ya know what I mean.

Pull the other one, it's got bells on it. :P

I dunno, seems legit from what I've seen so far..

Now here's a question: What will a "game changer" like this do to the NOS tube market? I don't see those prices dropping necessarily, unless the RCH tubes DO come down in price and start to compete with their old counterparts. FWIW I don't think the values of old stuff will decrease any; in other words I'm not rushing to sell my collection of old tubes just yet...

They also offer a service called "SupernalCryo Processing".
I hate trivial typo errors. There's an "a" missing between "r" and "n".

If I was tooling up for new high end tubes I would start with 300B's

Excellent US made 300B would easily sell for a few hundred.

I have to say it feels refreshing that someone is at least attempting to make a high quality vacuum tube again.. :D I can't help but feeling now that every time I go to purchase a new production tube I always feel like I just walked into an old Walmart  Does't matter where you turn it all just looks the same..Cheap

Clearly the overhead cost is going towards keeping that air conditioner running at 65F. Considering how red he is in that suit, it's money well spent!

The opening paragraph from their "About Us" page is plagiarized from a BYU commencement address called "Leaders and Managers", which was written by Hugh W. Nibley. So that explains why the grammar kinda falls apart.

New materials, huh. That I doubt very much.
