New Project

Post by Buschman »

Poor-Boy D'Lite build. PT from a Hammond A029,I will have to rig a bias supply. Ebay chassis, Fender Hotrod Deluxe OT. I will be using 6l6s. This looks to be a great OT for this build & has 4 & 8 ohm taps. $130 worth of caps & trinkets.

Wish me luck!

Have any of you tried a cathode bias on this amp? Swithcable? triode switch?

Thank You for all the design & insightwork that make this possible gentlemen!!

I've seen the triode switch in the Fuchs transplants. It seems to add a new dimention to the amp, kind of a softer breakup, creamier and more compressed. I've heard from a friend that the 20 watt Fuchs are cathode biased, but I've never heard or seen one.

Good luck with the project. I'm a big fan of cheep builds that sound great. I've transplanted a few amps with Dumble ckts and they sound great.
