I've only recently stumbled accross the whole trainwreck thing and I'm seriously considering starting a build.
I was just wondering out of interest and reference what tracks or albums might have been recorded with one? any one know?

Re: Tracks/Albums recorded with Trainwrecks
After 50 views and no bites I'll speak up...
I recorded an instrumental CD back in the mid-late 90s but I sold out my first pressing a couple years back.
I probably should get some reprinted but that said the "CD" is available on CD baby, ITunes, or via Amazon.
The cdbaby listing below has some further info on the CD:
Glen Kuykendall "Can You Hear It Ring?":
http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/glenkuykendall ... indiemusic
https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/can-y ... d428153398
My web page also has the original CD package pics (and KF tribute) that you don't get with the downloads:
http://www.glenkuykendall.com/store.html
It was all recorded using both an original Express and Liverpool with no pedals.
Most of the tracks were played on a Callaham strat, though I also used my '59 Les Paul and a custom mahogany strat on a couple tunes.
All the clean to dirty tones on the CD were done by simply working the guitar knobs, no attenuators were used, and the cabs were old Marshall 4x12s.
The CD was actually recorded quite some time ago on analog 16 track 1" tape, using just a single close mic mostly a Shure 548 (w/sm57 capsule) or a Neumann U67 tube mic.
These days if I had it to do again I'd probably get fatter tones with a ribbon mic and some nicely placed room mics. Still, I'm happy with how the CD turned out,
and I can say that Ken Fischer himself heard and liked the tracks in the pre production mixes I sent to him back in the day.

Cheers for that Glen. I found the album on Spotify too and had a listen through while I was walking the dogs. Nice playing and a great reference for the TW.
I also found a video of you on Youtube comparing two TW's and that was great to see how you worked the guitar volume to get the tone.
I hoping to soon start making an Express circuit with some british transformers.

And, of course, the infamous Bryan Adams contentions.

A lot of people reference Novella:

And of course pretty much all of the dirty guitar parts on Brad Paisley's Play album were recorded on a Trainwreck.
