liverpool presence noise

I got time to hook up the presence on my liverpool, the amp was a little noisey with out the precence but with it the noise is too much, the control is working and really helps tweak the tone, it just seems to have added alot of noise any suggestion would be great

Also there is something i dont understand about the presence the tail of the pi goes to the presence pot and hooks to lug 1 but should'nt the tail of the pi be grounded? seems like im missing something here

The presence wiring is prone to noise IMO.
I've run it up in the air to keep out of harms way.
You could also use screened wire.
Try moving where you ground the presence control too.
A separate ground close to the presence pot might be worth a try.
