Prototyping Box

Post by sportster4eva »

Here's a little something I put together to do experiments on. I used Relay sockets and some noval sockets I came across somewhere. There's 3 octal 2 9 pin and 2 7 pin, wired to terminal strips. There's +-5 +-12 and 0-15v Power supplies inside, a 0-120v ac meter. It's good for quick hookups. I am curious what you all use for trying your ideas out.

hi Sportster4eva,

that looks pretty sweet.

there's an (radio) old-timer on the web, Max Robinson, who does something similar. i like the idea of having the tubes, transformers, etc., mounted under the chassis. but i like your idea of using (screw) terminal strips, to eliminate the need for soldering.

it might get a little noisy, with high gain designs, but i think it's worth the risk.
