Same musician, Gabriel used this song on the soundtrack for "Last Temptation of Christ."

It's Armenian blues...
If you are interested in composing something with this feel, here's a link to some Armenian scales:

Lots of solos in these scales can work with rock and blues, I feel.

Thanks Greg! I actually purchased a duduk years ago. Man, they are hard to play. Ended up giving it to my neighbor, who is Armenian.

Lefty - I've never tried to play any double reed instrument - couldn't even make a penny whistle sound good!
