Hi,
proudly present ...
original schem from Ken F. Sounds incredible. PT and OT are 50 Watt Marshall irons. Because of the 3k7 of the prim side of the OT I play it with the 4 Ohm output in a 8 Ohm 1x12" box. So I´m around 7k. The only thing I miss are some good NOS tubes. For the moment there´s a
TT-12AX7 (China) in V1, a Tungsol 12AX7 and a Sovtek 12AX7 LP in the PI. Power amp 4x JJecc84.
No highs that hurts and a bass like a bull whip.
Never played such an amp!
When I have the back plate finished I´ll put some more in
Best Hans-Jörg

Nice looking head! I'm not good on guessing the wood, what is that, Sapele or something like that? At any rate looks really nice, would love to see the guts (I'm always amazed at the quality of everyone over here, but it makes guys like me strive to do better just so as not to shame myself looks wise heh). Thanks for sharing!

Re: New Liverpool
Hi, its Bubinga (hope by controlled forrest).
Its only the flash wich makes the chassie visible. There is no shining through in reality.
I used also can caps (50/50 and 40/20/20/20). The resistors direct on. There is a discussion on an other thread here. Seperat pre- and power amp grounding.
There is a hiss although metalfilm Rs and accurate (hopefully) grounding but nothing with wich I can`t live. But this hiss goes away with a good preamp tube. I swaped some tube and you can hear which is a good one and which one not.
When you start playing hiss is gone. No humm at all. Some inside shots tomorrow.
Best

here the finished Liverpool. A Bubinga one. And greate Amp!
The chassis was a used one, therefore the wholes like in a Swiss cheese.

O, you did a back panel for the chassis too.
Damn you, now I want to do one.
Why must you create more work for me?
Nice job on the amp. Its a difficult wood to photograph, it never appears as nice as it does in person.

Thats absolut true. I made only one picture where you can see the fine lines which are in. A beautiful wood!
I´ll try a Trainwreck Logo with 2 different kind of wood. So, no plastic or coloure. But this will take time.

Re: New Liverpool
Wow - that is beautiful.
If she sounds as good as she looks, I bet she makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.
Extremely well done.

						Re: New Liverpool
I noticed you put the OT right on the other is of the amp and i wonder if mine sitting right next to the MT (despite 90 degree orientation) is the cause of MT hum.
Nice job.
