Organ Find

Post by passfan »

I scored a free Wurlitzer 4150A yesterday out of the paper. It has 1-5U4 , 2-6L6GC , 9-12ax7, and 28-12fq8 tubes. All have date codes of 1960 and are either GE or RCA. The 12AX7's are RCA made for Wurlitzer long plates and test close to perfect. The 6L6GC's are GE and worn slap out. Lots of other good things to strip out.

Very cool. Most organs didn't push the tubes hard so they last for many years. I have a 62 Hammond with all original tubes, all of them test perfect.

The organ itself is prolly worth more in parts but the amps, tubes and transformers should be great.

I am still hunting lot of organs coming up some free and some $50 but not ones with tubes unfortunately. The last Hammond organ had only two 12AT7 and the rest 12AU7s.

I still have to go visit Farmer Jerry and see if he has his two Hammond B3's with Leslie and price
