Yeah I have had a couple of the guitars, and I still have bone shock from the one I destroyed on a cement slab in 1983.

Was he involved with kramer? the headstocks look the same - metal headstocks with steal reinforced necks.

Partner with Kramer as an Obit in todays Times references. Sold my standard a while back for a good chunk of change. Globs of sustain and don't play this thing outside in the cold weather, forget it ! But it was a fun guitar ! RIP Travis Bean.

A friend of mine had a Kramer with aluminum neck back in the early 70's and the thing would go out of tune if you breathed on the neck.
Forget about it if it was an outdoor gig in the sun.

I borrowed one a couple of time in college in '79. Loved it, it was a very high quality guitar. I like quirky things, am bored silly with Fenders and Gibsons, and I wish I had one now. I was hoping to be the first to say you can't play it outdoors on a chilly overcast fall day in upstate NY, but someone beat me too it.
