I have wired up all my boards on the 124 build, but on the preamp board and the FET board, there are wires underneath the board connecting grounds or parts to one another. There is no way to get keep all those wires away from each other. Some are easy, but other cross over one another. I have several wires crossing or getting close to each other.
I'm afraid this might cause noise or oscillation that will be hard to find and fix.
How do you do those wire connections while making sure there'll be no problems later?
thanks

They'll be fine, I've never had noise or oscillation from these wires.

If you do it like Dumble did and as shown on the layouts you will be fine.
Just keep the wires tight so they aren't hanging down.
I have even used high quality tape to keep them tight to the board before.
The B+ wires to V1 and V2 plate resistors I did a little different because I don't use a cap can.
I put all the power supply filter caps on the filter board, then have three eyelets on the preamp board that the various B+ wires go to and from there to the various plate resistors.
This is more how Brown Note did their boards and I borrowed from that.

Why shouldn't the wires be hanging down? I have the boards on standoffs. O figured that way I could use the extra length of wire to create 'hoops' to create some distance between the wires underneath the board.Structo wrote:If you do it like Dumble did and as shown on the layouts you will be fine.

I used wood glue on the ones I wanted next to the board then elevated others on my build. I just let everything dry overnight before I dropped the board into the chassis.
