Jabco / Ampcrazy Mods

Post by dartanion »

Anyone here know anything about these mods?

I took in a 79 JMP 100W SL that is labeled Jabco #2138 inside, yet the mods seem to have been removed at some point. It looks like there was a passive Fx loop and some other mods done as the extra input jack holes were drilled out and 2 extra holes on the back panel. There were some obvious mods around the input jack, but I am finding little to no info about these mods. I sent an email to Jerry Blaha, the owner of Ampcrazy/Jabco, but haven't gotten a response yet. About the only info I have seen is someone saying that the mod made it like a Mesa MK1, but that's it.

Not sure about these mods but AmpCrazy has been in that hollywood scene for awhile. I blueprint amps that come across my bench but there is really nothing new out there just kind of rehashed mods done different ways.
