HRM Tweaked clip
After all the comments I adjusted the treble trimmer, switched to the Epi Sheriton II with Loller Imperials and recorded this one. Forgive the clams, one take no practice.

Comments welcome.
I was gonna write down the settings but it's easier to show you.
Oh jeez, I forgot to post the pic of the footswitch.

IMHO, that is MUCH better! I almost gave up on it, but then I jumped to later in the recording where it sounds like you switched to the bridge pickup and THAT was what I was looking for. Nice job, Bob!

Re: HRM Tweaked clip
Bridge pup sounds great to me. It sings, with some excellent harmonic content and sounds like you can get feedback at will.

Sounds great Bob! It's got that nice "chipping" sound of the pick attack but the smoothness of a gravy sandwich! The amp really sings and sounds like it's inspiring to play.

Funny, I find the bridge a tad thin, the middle position with bridge on 10, neck on about 8 sounds amazing to me. That was the switch at about 1:40. It just sings when set like that, and I'm not only running the master low, the D-Lator is well below unity too, so the volume is very reasonable.

An LP playing friend of mine turned me on to a similar setting where you mix in a little neck pup in with full bridge and it is awesome.Bob-I wrote:Funny, I find the bridge a tad thin, the middle position with bridge on 10, neck on about 8 sounds amazing to me. Re: HRM Tweaked clip
Many years ago I broke the toggle switch on my LP, twisted the wires together and started using the volumes. You can get very cool mixes of tones that way. Of course at gigs I just flip the switchTonegeek wrote:An LP playing friend of mine turned me on to a similar setting where you mix in a little neck pup in with full bridge and it is awesome.
Re: HRM Tweaked clip
Colossal asked me in a PM to give more details about the amp. I have no secrets, I'm just a hobbiest.
This one is in a Funk chassis and cabinet with MM iron.
100 watt with 4x6L6CG STR Tung Sol
HRM using the ODS101 schematic
The plate load resistors are all RN65
All other resistors are Xicon 1W CC except PS of course
Preamp tubes are JJ gold pin ECC83 V1, Mullard re-issue 12AX7 V2 and Sovtek 12AX7LPS V3
OD trimmer is almost wide open
HRM trimmers are Bass, just on, mids 40%, treble 50%
The loop is a parallel D-ulator posted in the files section.
Effect is a Quadraverb set for a hall reverb only.
Speaker is an original EVM12L reconed in a Coyote cabs slant 1x12 with the back panel off.
Mike is an SM58 Beta
Recorded into a Zoom R16, no effects or post processing used.

Re: HRM Tweaked clip
Bob great sounds.
I know, I'm not supposed to comment on the clamps, but man you burn from 4:40 to end on that clip! Very nice.

Re: HRM Tweaked clip
Thx everyone. The suggestion to tweak the HRM treble pot made a huge difference, and I only turned it about 10K on the 250K pot.
