You are probably right Tonegeek. The whole Ceriatone thing just annoys me though. I do honestly admire his entrepreneurial spirit, but I personally would feel a little weird about lifting so much info off of here to sell D clones and not giving something back. I probably will feature one on my lame little website eventually, but if I sell one I will feel obligated to make a donation to Ampgarage. Just like if I ever finish the JP HiWatt on my bench I am going to make a donation to Marks HiWatt pages because he was very generous with sharing info with me about it. BTW, If anyone wants a copy of the layout I made for that let me know.

I wanna be nice and good, can I join the committee ?

To Nik's defense, all his layouts are publicly available on his website.

And how many people here would have been building Wrecks had Nik not offered a chassis even back when Allyn was a mere Wreck novice himself?

I think we have all given Nik due credit on his products. I think that why people are somewhat fed up with Nik is that he doesn't help folks here when they have questions about his product, so the TAG community ends doing this service for free. Yes, Nik does answer emails in a timely fashion and is very helpful, so that is not seen unless you have dealt with him. All my dealings with Nik were good. My only issue is with his transformers. They work just fine, however not my cup of tea.

I guess my point on this whole topic is that we've figured out the recipies to clone, or derive circuits from these amps, and when a noobie comes along they don't get it. Stray too far from the recipies and it wont sound "right". It may sound good, but not like it should. It's like baking a cherry pie, taking a bite, then saying "This doesn't taste like apple pie!"

Anyway, I digress. Hope the OP enjoys his new amp.
Eardrums!!! We don't need no stinkin' eardrums!
