Hi , Yes ,the guitar sound good , for "politician" also , but I'd like to try different pick-ups in the future. I thought to Seimour Duncan! For the moment I changed the original bridge with a Nashville Tone-Pros and I can feel the difference.

I bought this Epiphone Explorer for dirt cheap. I changed the electronics to SD 59's, new CTS pots, a new tone cap, and all new wire. I then had Jerry Bizon of Luxxtone Guitars level and dress the frets, recut the nut, and proper set up. The guitar is now world class! It sounds phenomenal....

I always loved the Explorer shape starting with Cheap Trick, Molly Hatchet, and Sammy Hagar. Somehow, I didn't get one when I was young, but now, I am quite content...

Is it a rosewood top?

Nice flame on the neck too.

And the tortoise binding is beautiful.

I got another '60s V to replace the sunburst one but man it had nine paint jobs. So, I stripped it and started over. When I got to the bottom it was burgundy mist. Yay!

But ruined. Boo! Sanded to make black stick.. then white stick, then like some kind of spray can yellow, and there was a blue color.. and something that looked like a shit dip!! oof.

So last night I wasn't aware of a recall a couple years ago from my friend's chemical supplier. I, being a supernice pal, used a can from the quart left in a 5 gallon drum.

MF! It reacted with the duco gold mist. It looked like someone tossed a boulder in a mud puddle. Body has to be stripped and redone. I can't sleep.

Neck came out great. Had a tuner change but not drilled. Filled all the screws and went with a stinger that I am pretty sure it started with. Gold mist is just before red overcoat exploded. Other pic is what it will look like in 10 hours minus 45 years of playing.. although I don't think I will see that day.

Only had this one a few months, recently finished fixing it up a few weeks ago. 1989 Gibson V-90. Plays like absolute madness!

When I got it, it was filthy, had a neck pickup installed, a lot of finish cracks, scratches, and other ugly work from the tremolo installation, and not intonated. I quickly realized, it was because it couldn't be (intonated)... Someone replaced the original crappy tremolo with a Kahler Soloist Hybrid. They did a pretty shite job of it, and apparently couldn't measure. The bridge had to move away from the neck about 1/4" in order to be able to adjust the saddles for intonation.

So, I took it completely apart, cleaned and buffed the snot out of it. Sanded the unobtanium pick guard with 1500, then 3000, and buffed it with polishing compound. Looks almost like brand new now!

I made a new riser plate thing out of metal for the trem to hide ugly holes and 1st gen trem cavity filler (At least they used Mohogany) between the bridge and pickup, filled the old screw holes and cracks and whatever else that was bad or questionable in the cavity rout with polyester resin, and let cure. Routed further back, drilled and re-installed the bridge along with a Dimebucker.

New strings, set up, intonated, (Could've moved the bridge another 1/8" back, but still intonates perfect) replaced most of the screws with brand new, now its complete shredding joy to play. I've had my eyes one one of these for a while, very glad to own one now! The truss rod cover was poorly cut to make it fit with the locking nut, so I had a custom one made up for it.

Nuclear Yellow. It's fun just saying that. (Be nice now, Yellow is my favorite color!)

I attended a Toys For Tots event this weekend.

By the soda/snack table they had a raffle. $3 tickets, 50/50, and an electric guitar.

I purchased a ticket, and during the intermission they first drew the 50/50.

Diget by diget they called out my ticket for the guitar.

Oh, did I mention that its a pink Fender Squire? Well, it is.
