My Friend has/had a brother who died recently. who had owned this guitar for over 30 years
Now my friend shares this guitar half time with his other brother.
I went over to give some guitar lessons, in trade for beers, when he pulled this guitar out.
I had fixed his vox VT30 a few months ago, so we plugged the 59 into it.....WOW! Man this old guy sounds so good. Even if the bridge pickup is mounted backwards

The other day I was wanting to find out more about his guitar, and found out that those humbuckers are not original to the 1959 ES125, P90's were.
In the picture, you can see the outline where the other pickups were and also the screws were left there. It doesnt matter these old pickups sound incredible.....I dont have the heart to tell him, and I dont think he would care anyways, but i'm not telling him unless he wants to sell this thing, but i doubt it, I hope

Check the pickups, if you dare, to see if they are PAFs.

The pickups may be worth more than the guitar. How wrong is that?

Lol....I think the only way I check those pups is to get him really drunk and sneak off with thing, but I suspect that they are vintage as he has owned the guitar for over 30 years and he said the guitar was like the way it is in the picture.

I really enjoyed the stock P90s in my Agile AL3000. But I did not care for the single-coil noise, which is especially bad in church, what with the dimmers radiating hash like stinky hippies.

Fixed! Put in a pair of GFS Mini 59 Vintage pups. Sounding really great. Can't wait to take it to practice tomorrow in the sanctuary.

You'll also need three humbuckers and a locking nut.

LMFAO I was joking about the kahler. Floyd all the way. Gonna have to open it up and exttend the tail block to the neck block.

It seems to be a mandolin. :)

1956 Duo Jet to Penguin conversion. Complete original hardware including the tail. Can't do that again.
