one of the regular forum contributors R.G. wrote the above and shows you can drop a mosfet in place for a cathode follower, no changes needed.

I did that with an IRF820 - upon someone else's design/advice/...
The MOSFET was successfully used to drive the tone stack - yet that latter & the rest of the circuit might be far from optimal.
I could read (*) that IRF8xx and LND150 were not that much interchangeable but I don't really caught the nuances.
