Anything marketed as a collectible thing.. is not a collectible thing. It's a knock-off branded version of either a weird single thing or an exclusive thng that there are not enough of for $450 to satisfy a market which doesn't even exist until we are told to covet it.
I have met Jimmy Page twice in my life. Once with The Firm and the second time in Orlando. I wouldn't pay $12k for Jimmy Page. He wouldn't pay $5 for me.. what's the point of all this?
It starts with worship and fear. It is centered around the greed that you want to be that god and have all who meet you worship you like that.. it's misplaced and pure idiocy. Hiw many people who bought similar things would have made the purchases if they had to keep it a secret?
You know what's worth more than junk or money? Supporting the people you admire most. If I had $250k to blow on amps most of you would be soldering right now.
I have some nice junk. I bought most of it in a time where it was all that mattered to me and for nearly nothing by comparison. Except for one thing, I use all the things just like tools. It's nice to have things. If you can't use them.. they are using you.

Thanks for you reply Miles, my interest in the amp is like most people's interest, I loved their songs and Page's guitar tone as a youth. If it was about his current tone we'd be after Orange amps. As stated previously I particularly like Page's Hiwatt tones. I think I would find those tones most useable.
I certainly wouldn't pay $12,500 for the amp, though I guess the people who'll buy this stuff have a hell of a lot of money.
Miles tell me more about meeting Page, I have suspected he is arrogant, though in Page's defence he has had a hell of a lot of smoke blown up his rear end. I digress, tell me more about your meeting with him.

Umm.. ok, we were on drugs in Tampa. He seems to have had most of his conversations a million times. Nice guy, just bored. I think he liked me because I didn't ask one single question about Led Zeppelin. I do not remember what year this was.. whenever they were touring.
In Orlando a friend called me to come over to Hard Rock. This was shortly after Plant/Page. I took a Les Paul and he was signing things for someone.. he played my guitar for a few minutes and we talked about Tampa and laughed. He gave me a handful of guitar picks and when I packed up he said he'd see me later and waved like he lived across the street and I just smiled and said "Yeah.." and waved back.

That doesn't sound so bad, I thought there had been an incident.
