Those Dynaclones are the wrong primary Z.

2.84H Choke is fine in 100W amps.

Hi,

I also considered the mercury Dynaco transformers for a build, unfortunately they are so damn expensive. That's why I wanted to ask if anybody has any experience with the Dynaclone Transformers from triodeelectronics. They surely are way cheaper then the mercurys

cheers,
Patrick

You bet! They cost US$56 and the claim is that they are replicas of Dynaco OT's. What can be wrong with that? Their primary is 8k Ohm, with 4 and 8 Ohm secondaries, which makes that OT perfect for 2x6V6 output (such as D'Lite), and perhaps ALSO for 2x6L6 output, since this OT is designed to perform at 35W 30-15k Hz.

At that price and those specs, plus with a fair assumption that triodeelectronics at least have some sort of self-respect and responsibility for their claims, one cannot go wrong!

If transport from USA to Europe would not be relatively expensive, or if I now lived in the USA, I would buy that OT, no doubt about it.

All the best,

Sven
