Nice! I don't know how you kept track of all that purple wire but the result looks awesome and very tidy. This motivates me to finish my 3rd gen build (hopefully today).

Looks great!

You will like it even more when you get those other two 6L6 going.

Congrats trane34
great looking build
how do your voltages look ?

love the purple wiring with the black boards
if only you could get "purple drops" would really set it off :)

They are a little high on the preamp tubes and I have to tweak the bias a little more. I started a different post about it...should have just put it here. Oh well. Having a bunch of fun playing it right now. Its alot more satisfying to play something you built. The purple wire always seems to grab attention. I bought a 1000' of it from mouser for really cheap when it was on sale. I like it because its solid core and strips easily. Its 18 awg so I can use for heaters too. Its a little bit of a challenge fitting it sometimes though. At least it looks cool and has lasted me through a ton of builds so far and will for a few more.

I just use the continuity test on my meter. I'm a little ocd and do that anyways with multi-colored wires. I am lucky if I don't check at least three times before I cut the wire...makes for a looooong build. I checked out your build. Very cool. Who/what player made you want to build it?
