I have always tried suede outside my country, but in the end I must say that here in Italy there is a good chance of finding good materials. There are good manufactured

here's in the photos example of very good faux-suede!

Here's couple with both faux suede and the real thing. I pick up the real stuff at Tandy's, usually get both sides at a time which you can get 4 headboxes out of usually. the brown is the real stuff but the grey looks great as well. In fact in person most can't tell without touching it.

Yes - both you guys are making great looking cabs!

Sergio - when it comes to suede, Italy is THE place to be!

Tubedogsmith - Is the faux suede you're using regular upholstery suede? How is it for wear?

It's upholstry suede I think. It seems to be holding up pretty well. those amps are a couple years old and still look fine.

The faux-suede I bought (ordered) by an upholsterer here close to my country, I think you can also find some Italian dealer on Ebay or on the web, but I never tried to looking for.

Henry, your amp pictured there is supposed to be the Sky Blue suede?

Must be the photo because it doesn't look blue at all in the picture.
