Yep me too - real nice ABC (anti-beer-can) feature too.Structo wrote:Yeah those are similar but the one I am thinking of is a vintage amp and has a square shaped cab.
I believe someone here had one.
But I think the odd shape adds a lot to the vibe and I love that design!

Do you have a Michael's or a Beverly's out there? It's a craft store - zillions of fabrics, scrapbooks, glues, and beads. It's pretty much all gals in there - I used to get an odd look when I popped in to cruise thru the textiles & bolts of fabric. There's usually even some vinyls, heavy upholstery, etc. on closeout.bluefireamps wrote:Very cool! Where did you get the grill cloth?
I decked out this Ebay Tele body with doodads from the craft store:

Dangee, that's a pretty sweet build. Scavenged parts stuffed into some oddball retro box - right up my alley! Looks awesome!
Re: George Jetson's rig...
I really like that amp! Sweet tele too! Great work.

That's why there is only a picture of the front of the guitar. There is a big flap in the back!

Love the amp and the glittery Tele (and the cowboy inspired Tele as well). On the Jetson amp that LED badge might be a neat place to put one of those Magic Eye tubes thats controlled by the level of the amp, they're always fun to see moving while your playing. I haven't tried one but have seen a few done and always wanted to try one sometime. Anyway, way cool love the trapezoidal look!

Funny you mention it. The same Goodwill store the TV legs came from had a stripped Grundig hifi. Fortunately I got an EM-80 eye tube from the thing and added it to this mini-Marshall I made out of an old tube P.A.
I had to Google all over to find a diagram for wiring up the tube. The signal to it [and green effect] is controlled by one of the unused vol. pots on the Bell-35 chassis. Yahoo! more useless, fun folderol.

...it's back, & even featured in a 'video' now :^)
I just added a plexiglas porthole to further show off the blue lites.

...and it's [barely] featured in a 'video' my daughter Amanda made this week [to an old original intrumental I'd recorded about 23 years ago on a TEAC].
I only had a deteriorated cassette of the tune and thought I'd better try and save it.
She shot the footage around the neighborhood [and in the house] and put it all up on YouTube.

I liked that a lot Bob.
Tell your daughter she did a great job with that.
I've been to Santa Cruz and Seacliff many times with my wifes family who still live in San Jose.
