Looks beautiful to me, heck I'd see no reason to change that out ever.

I've thought about getting one of those drawers to make a head cab.
Did you get enough to make the rear panel?
That's cherry right?
I'm think just getting one in a cheaper wood then tolexing it.

OK, I was looking at the drawers at Woodcraft.
They only offer them in the import cherry.
I didn't really understand how you order the correct size, I'm somewhat dyslexic when it comes to that stuff.
Did you use the drawer bottom for the front valance?

Structo
Here is some info I had on hand and there is an old thread on this subject from JEM.
Some more info on the DrawerCab...
Wood Craft Drawer used as head cab Plantation grown cherry with dove tail construction.
If you decide to order... the dimensions must be in decimal form, so from Dr. Hulsey's dimensions...
9-3/4H x 8-7/8W x 18-3/8D drawer equals 9.75Hx 8.875W x 18.375D
If you'd like to saw off the 1/4" groove for the drawer bottom, it's 3/4" from the outside edge of the drawer to the inside of the groove. So add that to your dimensions (depth or width depending...).
If you want to keep the drawer bottom groove (sounds like a song eh?)
I remember seeing a luthier website that had some 1/8" inlay that would make the groove decorative, but I can't seem to locate it now.
If you use the drawer bottom for the front of the cabinet, the switches seem to just be at the edge.
Hope this helps, Mark

looks great
Very nice cab and ready to rock.... great work.
Re: chassis has a home!
Looks great! Glad to see people still finding the drawers a useful base to work off of.

Re: chassis has a home!
Jem,
That was a good idea and I built one cab with the drawer and have thought many times about order more but then always build my own or find blemished ones.
I left the drawer bottom dado in the drawer plan when I ordered and filled the dado with dark mahogany for accent and used that as my front side.

Looks good Ron! Are you going to have that at the Amp Fest?
Looking forward to meeting you and the Portland area boys.

Looks great. Where did you get the brown leather handle? It's a nice finishing touch.
