Why do my Deluxe Reverb and Twin Reverb sound so different?

Since it has the original transformers, I believe my Twin falls into that "in between" category. I'm not sure that I'm fully qualified to poke around inside that amp, so I'm taking it to be looked at and serviced accordingly. I don't know the last time it was serviced, so some replacement parts may be in order.

Well, a 1970 Twin [stock] wouldn't have UL wiring, FWIW here. Those bright caps sure make a tone difference though.
