nhrm delta pro-12A clip

Post by mat »

Few hours behind the 12A and I like it very much :D Best speaker for me so far 8)

Tube reverb and Boss DD-3 in built-in Dlator. No processing. OD master at 8:30 o'clock. I change the pickup position few times plus kick the PAB on and off couple of times.. SM57 + a diy mic.

Thanks Deric, spm :D I wonder if I could leave the amp now how it is and concentrate more to the playing of it

Nice sound, nice playing too. What speakers did you try with this amp?
They sound nice but also a little honky on some frequencies.

I will get back with the list of the speakers I've tried.

The honkines is just what I have been trying to achieve with my build !

Very nice tones and playing. Thanks for that. I think the delay and reverb is just a tad too much.

Curious about that DIY mic... Can you expand?

Yeah I almost always put too much delay :? I'll take a photo of the mic I've done. It's nothing fancy. I used electret capsules.

mat,
I like this speaker a lot for the price. Have you been able to try an EV-12L? A notch above in a nonHRM IMHO, but you are getting some nice highs out of this one - and HONK! Sounds real good - as does the playing.

I have a Delta-pro in a thiele cabinet, sounds great but I plan on comparing it to an EVM 12L soon.

Your clip sounds great. Nice smooth tone with great ping on the attack.

Stelligan, as much as I would like to try the EV's I haven't found one where I live. But as You noticed my amp gives enough highs, at least for me that is.

thanks Bob-I. The amp sounds eaven better in person. Also I might get better sound when experimenting with the mic placement, but as usual I don't have the patience to experiment, just put the mics somewhere

One big difference to the heritage1265 is that deltapro cuts trough the mix better. I did put the song playing and went to the kitchen (to make fish soup :D ) .. anyway, I noticed how well the guitar could be heard on the mix. I think the frequency responce might be narrower with the delta and this might be the reason of it cutting trough better.

My bass player told me after the first gig I used the 1x12 Delta in place of the 2x12 Celestions that he heard me MUCH better. The sound man told me I was playing at a much lower level and it was easier to sit me into the mix properly.

Again, the EVM should be here soon. I'll report after.

I think that clip was sensational! The tone is to dies for,and your chops are right up there my friend.
That speaker is really nice sounding.I have a couple of EV's and aother speaker I got given to me by a friend. It looks like an EV but it's black and has no name anywhere on it.It is better than the EV's I have, and that's no mean feat, because the EV's are fabulous. It sounds quite a bit like your's does.

Edit: it's a B & C speaker.Canadian I think.Very nice sounds.
Crystal latice or vacuum, that is the question.
