ground wire
Allyn, that ground wire goes to both jacks?? Do I not need to ground either of those jacks

You want both jacks grounded. You can simply remove the link between tip and sleeve on one jack and you'll be good.
If you want a shorting link installed in case you forget to plug in a cable then look for a Hiwatt picture to see how they wire the Cliff jacks.

OK I have it know
The way this is wired is so that the second output jack is an extension jack and it works fine that way. It is not meant to be an alternative jack.
Sorry for the confusion. It is all good the way it is.

Rocket in cab
Ok here it is all done, sounds great. My third build and learning a lot. Thanks for tolerating some of my very basic questions. I'll do better on the next one.
I decided to do this quickie cab as a "workman's cab " for now, its screwed and glued with materials I had around. I did install the wire grid for RF and that has been a good thing, the amp is very quiet.
I will be working on a hardwood cab soon with more traditional dimensions ( somehow this one is too tall ).

The early (and I mean *very* early) Crate amplifiers were literally built like shipping crates. That's what yours reminds me of. Very early 80's vintage!
Very cool!
Match the cab stain to the faceplate and it would look even slicker IMHO.

I might just have to build one of those.
I have just started my Rocket build who knows when I'll finish it.
Decided to do the cap stack. All dry fit for the moment. Board is not complete and nothing is soldered. Realised I need to drill another hole for the preamp buss / bias ground.

Those F&T are nice looking caps. Seeing stuff like that makes me want to make an amp pretty on the inside as much as on the outside.
Imagine a black board with the blue resistors that have gold plated leads, F&T caps and some nice neon colored wire. Hahaha

22uf optional cap
Wondering if any builders have tried the 22uf additional cap. I was running with it for a while, and it had some additional grind. I have it disconnected and the amp is very clean now and breakup occurs at a higher volume.

I see
ok makes sense
maybe it could be switched in and out with a toggle switch in the back ??

I liked it better without it. I also tried not using that 220k series resistor into the PI but I thought the amp sounded (and 'felt') better with it.Wondering if any builders have tried the 22uf additional cap.
