I made two rigs, the Tonex pedals with rack effects and a similar version with 4 channels of Tonex and Amplitube as plugins in Cubase.
Round trip in the box is 6.3ms and the rack is about 1ms faster. Any less buffering in the box loses coherence with 1 thing I can't live without: Audio Damage Discord3 because Eventide is too stupid to code a simple 13 cent pitch bend without 250ms base.
A certain Stelliperson's Blonde Bassman is the loudest, cleanest, awesomest, unbeliveable, ridiculous, fantastical, boldestest, ummm,

Now, about Amplitube. They did something to this a while back. Tonex sounds better as a module within Amplitube as a plugin in Cubase...
But, back to latency for a second.. a friend self-imported two Maxon prototype wireless rigs from Japan that were cute little white box diversity rigs with no markings at all. So, we were playing Charleston.. this is like 86? I plugged it in an started doing LOS test. Sounds great! Very little compansion kind of makes the guitar a little thicker. 100'.. damn. 200'.. 300'..
500'
wtf I had a tech drop a line and we put the receiver outside..
1100'.. that comes with enough latency to mail
OMG IT WAS 1986!!! I know this because of what my vocalist said after the first song... anyhow, it was all working out very well until 3 gentlemen from the Department of Naval something or other showed up looking for the thing that was stepping all over the approach to some stupid airport!
So, we started the show and I look over the vocalist is literally standing on his head for the line "upside down" in Love Removal Machine. Big crowd raising all hell...song ends.. and Stephen says "Looks like the Navy fucked up today!".
