So I tried this on my 2nd Gen…

Post by Raoul Duke »

Haven’t really been enjoying my 2nd Gen lately, and it’s been rainy all day - so I made these changes after searching the forum today:
https://ampgarage.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... b6c33dbe01

I have to say it not only made the amp sound different, it made the amp feel different - in a good way. I also bumped up the main filtering to dual 150uf (from dual 100uf). So today’s PSA is:

If you’ve fallen out of love with your 2nd/3rd gen, try these HAD approved tweaks. Probably won’t be sorry. Of course - JMHO and YMMV.

Good reference for 2nd Gen tweakers and Ultraphonix mods. There is a ton of info on this site, not always easy to find, unfortunately.

True enough Martin, but it’s a gold mine if you persevere, lol.

FWIW, this is ODS #20. If you search, I posted more information about that amp in another thread. It's a cool one!
