Alright. I'm on a mission to finish my d'lite. It's a brown note chassis that's going to be 50 watts, bassman ot, with a evm12l.
I have the plans for two different cabinets.
Here they are:
I am wondering if the size will affect the tone of the amp much. It's gonna be a fairly heavy amp, and the smaller cabinet would be a little bit more manageable to gig with.
However the larger one looks a bit nicer.
I've been considering the small one but figured I would ask before commiting.
Which route would any of you go with? Anybody have either of these setups?
Which combo size?

I agree the larger one looks better. Personally I'd go with it.
Have you considered putting removable caster wheels on it? I put some on a Crate hybrid 12" combo, one of the best things I've did to that amp.

The difference in weight on the two cabs might be a couple pounds...but get an Eminence EM12N and you'll save 14 pounds!

Re: Which combo size?
It's not the weight, it's the bulk.
The smaller amp is 18x18x10. I thought I had plans for the larger but now I can't find them.
Also, that pic of the smaller really doesn't do it justice. On amp nations site I mocked up a similar small combo with black suede and cane grill. That looked awesome. And is probably what I will go with.
I guess it seems I'm set on the smaller one, and having a 2x12 100 watt stack probably contributes to that.
Ive hauled a twin around for 20+ years. I don't want two of those to haul if I can help it.

I’ve been very happy with my smaller sized combo - also Amp Nation inspired. I made one for a friend too who is happily gigging with his.

That's a nice amp. Here's the way I'm really considering building mine:
I hope it's ok to use that image.
I can put a plug out that my wonderland overdrive is by far the finest amplifier I have ever owned.
