I think I am actually Martin.

I was playing it today and the sound has definitely improved. Add to that the reduced hum and hiss and crackle (none today either) and I think it deserves me giving it another chance so to speak. It actually “feels” different (better) playing it. More sensitive if that makes sense? Like I don’t have to work as hard to get decent variation in sound based on pick dynamics. Maybe the filtering?

I’m really surprised by the positive difference - especially this being my first time in an old Vox.

Thinking of trying a matched set of Reflektor 6BQ5s in it. They made a noticeable (positive) difference in my old Matchless…
