#124 - 346K trimmer

Post by lgehrig4 »

Hello! I used the BOM found in this forum to source most of the parts. I'm jut getting around to starting my build and I noticed that the BOM had a 500K pot as opposed to the board's 346K. I just wanted to confirm that this is ok. If I'm using a 500K would I need to adjust any of the restistor values as well?

The theory is that 124's trimmer was modified to get that value, and it seems to be an outlier. The other documented ODS have the same series resistor at 220k but use a 100k trimmer. The resistance to ground is typically set at around 25k, so the 100k trimmer makes the adjustment easier. If you want to experiment with the higher total resistance you could use a 470k series resistor with the 100k trimmer. Ultimately you will want to set the trimmer to your liking.
