Oscilloscope probe for b+

Post by timrobertson100 »

Would someone please confirm this is a reasonable probe to buy for looking at b+?

It’s stated as 1.5kV, but with 600V safety rating (?), and at 10:1 my basic modern TEK scope’s max of 300V input won’t be exceeded.

Thank you

I'm not sure what they mean by "Maximum Common Mode Input Voltage" since they state that the oscilloscope must be grounded, but otherwise the probe looks OK. Most TEK probes specify a range of input capacitance that the probes are capable of adjusting to and some have graphs showing maximum allowable input vs frequency which the documentation only hints at.
