HEllo, I have been playing the amp now for a bit and having trouble finding a tone that works from the "ampeg" channel.
My aim is to use the AB763 side as a clean pedal platform, That works very well. But I was hoping to use the other channel for Jazz guitar. Mainly an es-175 and 335 clean with just a little reverb.
THere seems to be a problem for me finding the right way to sit the mids correctly. ANyone with ideas on how I can modify that channel to make it more friendly to simple clean Jazz tones please let me know.
I really need help with this

how to adjust mids with a james tone stack: if you want to scoop the mids, raise the treble and bass. if you want to raise the mids, lower the treble and bass. then just adjust the gain/volume for desired level
if you wish to change the frequency/width of the mid peak/valley available by adjusting, adjust some of the values in that calculator until it looks where you want it (i've mostly adjusted capacitance value but have a play with everything and don't be afraid to reset and start over)

i've attached a zip file of tone stacks i used when i converted a traynor yvm6 solid state mixer for guitar (besides changing the tone stack in each channel, i also made it so you could cascade all of the channels for a ton of distortion). 'forum tone' i found on some forum and employed a push/pull pot to shunt a resistor to ground

start playing with standard component values and see where the sweeps go
it would probably be easiest to download and install instead of messing with the web app. then you can save stuff you like: http://www.duncanamps.com/tsc/download.html

Thanks, I did install and input the values. But I can't seem to find a component that would allow sweeping the center frequency for the Mid/ dip/bump... If I could find that, I could use a pot the determine the value ( assumning its a resistor ) If its a cap, then I could try different ones in the actual amp... after the simulation... I just can't figure what component to play with
